Dolores Marie Bolgren passed from this world on Feb. 23, 2025, in Cary, NC.
She was born to Leo and Janet (Smith) Hauber on Nov. 12, 1928, in Winneshiek County, Iowa. She lived her formative years with her Aunt Marie (Hauber) and Uncle Andy Andres in Decorah.
She graduated from Decorah High School 1947. She married Floyd {Fritz) Bolgren on Oct. 3, 1949. They lived most of their lives in Calmar, where they raised their family, were very active members of the community and participated in many church activities. She was an employee of the local bank, retiring after 25 years. After retiring, Fritz and Dolie resided in Orange City, Florida, for many years before moving to Cary, NC to be near daughter Mary and family. Dolie was a talented cook, seamstress, homemaker, and lifelong artist. Her family and friends always enjoyed the special creations she and Fritz made and shared.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert, sister Glendoris, two infant children, Robert and Karen, and husband Fritz in 2015.
She is survived by sons Kenneth (Linda) Bolgren of Eau Claire Wis., Daniel (Charlene) Bolgren of Dubuque, Jerold (Jeannie) Bolgren of Loudon Tenn., David (Debbie) Bolgren of Foley AL, daughter Mary (Brent) Stubbe Raleigh N.C.; 14 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Services will include a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Aloysius, Calmar. Internment next to her beloved Fritz and two forever infant angel children at St. Aloysius Cemetery Calmar at a time to yet be determined.
